Find Missing Files

After publishing an Event to your PhotoReflect storefront you may decide to move your images to another location on your computer.



Images that have been moved on your system will no longer show up in your software. Your PhotoReflect software becomes linked to the location where the images were added from when the Event was created. If a customer places an order on one of these events you will receive the error message ‘The following files could not be located’ when you try to print or Edit and Proof the order. The steps below will walk you through changing the path of the images that cannot be located by your PhotoReflect software.

  1. Double-click on the order in the ‘Orders’ tab.
  2. An error message will appear that states: ‘The following files could not be located’, click ok. This will launch the Edit & Proof workspace.
  3. Once you are in the Order Proofing page you will see a black image placeholder. (Take note of the image filename at the top right side of your page this will tell you the specific image your customer ordered.)
  4. Right click on the image place holder.
  5. Select ‘Change File’
  6. Browse to the location of the image the customer ordered, highlight the image, and click ‘Open’.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 for each missing image in the order.
  8. When finished, click the ‘Save Order’ button at the top left of your screen.
  9. Now click on the button that states, ‘Return to List’ and you will be returned to the Orders Screen where you will now be able to send your order to the PhotoReflect Pro Lab.

Once you are in the Order Proofing page you will have many options you can utilize to edit your photos. There are basic functions such as scaling, orientation, and color correcting and more advanced functions like turning an image to black and white or adding a template. (Please Note: The modifications you make to the photos in your order are non-destructive which means the changes will not be applied to the original images.)
